Terms & Conditions

The terms that apply when you use ottozo.my.

Draft notice: this template is drafted to protect Ottozo's interests within Malaysian law, but has not been reviewed by a lawyer. Note that mandatory consumer rights (e.g. Consumer Protection Act 1999) cannot be excluded and override one-sided terms. Have it verified by legal counsel (and against the PDPA 2010) before relying on it.

Last updated: 2026. These Terms & Conditions ("Terms") form a binding agreement between you and Ottozo. By accessing or using ottozo.my, submitting an enquiry, or paying a deposit, you confirm you have read, understood and agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the site.

1. Company information

This site is operated by Ottozo [Sdn. Bhd.] (Company No. [—]), with its registered address at [—], Malaysia ("Ottozo", "we", "us"). Contact: hello@ottozo.my. (As required by the Consumer Protection (Electronic Trade Transactions) Regulations 2012.)

2. Our role (intermediary)

Ottozo is an online marketplace and lead/booking facilitator that connects buyers with new-car brands, authorised dealers, principals and financing partners. We are not the manufacturer, dealer, lender or insurer. Contracts of sale, loan agreements and insurance are entered into directly between you and those third parties, on their terms. We do not warrant their products, services, approvals or conduct.

3. Eligibility & your responsibilities

  • You must be at least 18 years old and legally able to enter a contract.
  • You warrant that all information you provide (identity, income, documents) is true, accurate and your own. Submitting false or fraudulent information is prohibited.
  • You are responsible for keeping your account credentials secure and for activity under your account.

4. Prices, estimates & errors

Prices, variants, specifications, promotions and availability are indicative, subject to change without notice, and may contain errors. The binding price is the on-the-road price confirmed in writing by the dealer/principal at purchase. Where a price is obviously wrong, we and the dealer reserve the right to correct it or to cancel and refund any affected order before delivery.

5. Bookings & deposits

A booking deposit is part-payment that reserves a vehicle and starts your application, subject to dealer confirmation and (where applicable) bank approval. Refunds and cancellations are governed by our Refund & Cancellation Policy, which forms part of these Terms.

6. Tools are estimates only

Our loan calculator, eligibility checker, road tax/insurance estimator, trade-in estimator and AI advisor provide estimates and suggestions only. They are not financial advice, an offer of credit, or a guarantee of approval, valuation or price. See our Disclaimer.

7. Acceptable use

You agree not to misuse the site: no fraud, scraping, hacking, uploading malware, posting unlawful or defamatory content (including reviews), or infringing others' rights. We may remove content and suspend or terminate access at our discretion for any breach.

8. Intellectual property

All content on this site (text, design, software) is owned by or licensed to Ottozo and may not be copied or reused without permission. Vehicle brand names, logos and trademarks belong to their respective owners and are used for identification only.

9. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, the site and our services are provided "as is"; we exclude liability for indirect, incidental or consequential loss, and for acts or omissions of third-party dealers, banks, insurers and principals. Our total aggregate liability to you for any claim is limited to the fees you paid to Ottozo for the relevant transaction.

10. Indemnity

You agree to indemnify Ottozo against claims, losses and costs arising from your breach of these Terms, your misuse of the site, or information you provided that is false or unlawful.

11. Force majeure

We are not liable for delays or failures caused by events beyond our reasonable control (e.g. supply shortages, strikes, natural disasters, outages or government action).

12. Changes, severability & assignment

We may update these Terms at any time; continued use after changes means you accept them. If any clause is held invalid, the rest remains in force. We may assign these Terms to a successor entity.

13. Your statutory rights

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits any right or remedy you have under Malaysian law that cannot lawfully be excluded — including the Consumer Protection Act 1999. Where any term conflicts with such mandatory rights, those rights prevail.

14. Governing law & disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of Malaysia, and you submit to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the Malaysian courts. Consumers may also refer eligible disputes to the Tribunal for Consumer Claims Malaysia (Tribunal Tuntutan Pengguna Malaysia).
